Frequently Asked Questions
Is this therapy?
No. This is not psychotherapy or medical treatment. It is structured, depth-oriented work grounded in Jungian dreamwork and Gendlin's Focusing.
If you are in acute psychological distress or crisis, licensed clinical support is more appropriate.
Do I need to remember my dreams?
No prior experience is required. If you remember dreams, we can work with them. If you do not, we can begin with emotion, image, or present experience.
Dream recall often improves with attention over time.
Do I need to know Jung or Focusing?
No. The work does not require prior study of Jungian psychology or Focusing (the experiential method developed by Eugene Gendlin).
Concepts are introduced gradually through experience rather than theory.
Is this religious or spiritual work?
No. This work is psychological and experiential in nature. It does not promote any religious system or belief structure.
What if I am skeptical?
Skepticism is welcome. The work does not require belief. It requires attention and curiosity.
What if I miss a session?
Scheduling policies are discussed before beginning private work or group participation. Consistency supports depth work, and continuity is encouraged.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Private sessions are confidential. In circles, participants agree to confidentiality as part of the group agreement.
How do I begin?
The first step is a short introductory conversation. This allows us to discuss fit, expectations, and practical details before committing to private work or a circle.
